The General class license
is the second of three US Amateur Radio licenses. To upgrade to General class,
you must alreo General class,
you must already hold a Technician class license (or have recently passed the
Technician license exam). You must also pass a 5 words-per-minute Morse code
test. ARRL has code practice cassette tapes, audio CDs, and computer software
to help you learn the Morse code (start with ARRL’s Your Introduction to
Morse Code to learn all the characters and pass the 5-WPM exam).
